Whether you’re here for business or pleasure, you’ve come to the right place. Shandon Farmhouse offers maximum comfort at reasonable rates. Shandon farm is 15-20 minutes walk north out of Drymen village, with views of The Trossachs and Loch Lomond to the west and The Campsies and Queens View to the south. Ideal for your first stopover after completing the first section of The West Highland Way or beginning The Rob Roy Way.

Shandon is a working farm with 130 native British Beef Shorthorn cattle. The cattle are housed from late October. Calving happens inside from February-May and the cows and calves go back outside from April onwards, weather dependent.

About Us

Your journey to our home, shared with you.

The current farmhouse was re-built in 1986 and renovated again in April 2015 for us to run a B&B. The house is double glazed and centrally heated throughout. Shandon farmhouse has 3 en-suite bed and breakfast rooms, all with varying views of either the landscaped garden, The Campsies, Queens View or over towards the Trossachs and Loch Lomond. The modern fully tiled bathrooms have underfloor heating, centrally heated towel rails and spacious showers. Each room has a 32'' smart tv and tea/coffee making facilities. Hairdryer and complimentary toiletries available in each room. I can do some clothes washing if needed, please ask.

Please note all bedrooms are on the first floor. Total of 15 steps, 4 first and then 11 to the landing.

On the ground floor there is a large guest sitting room with a feature wall log burner and 42" Smart TV. Free WIFI. In here there is a small guest fridge, a microwave and a coffee machine available for guest use. The breakfast room is accessed through the lounge and there is a separate table for each room. The patio doors lead from here to the veranda and garden.

Dogs are welcome but only if you book directly via the website, although dogs are not allowed in Heather room. We have 3 terriers of our own and they generally have the run of the house, but not when guests are here. They like to meet the guests but obviously only if you want to.
